The Detox Diaries: Please, God, Let Me Get Home

Gentle Reader,

The title of this post was my constant prayer on the 20-minute drive home from work today. The 20-minute drive I took two hours early. After my lunch made a sudden and unwelcome reappearance.

He did answer. I did get all the way home.

I’m finally in bed now, after some time curled in the fetal position on my bathroom floor.

Pretty sure I never want to eat again.

Taking comfort in these words:

“Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble,
And He saved them out of their distresses.
He sent His word and healed them,
And delivered them from their destructions.
Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness,
And for His wonderful works to the children of men!” – Psalm 107:19-21 (NKJV)

My journey to faith. (15)
