P119C – Day 82
Gentle Reader,
Today’s Verse:
“ My eyes fail from searching Your word,
Saying, ‘When will You comfort me?’”- Psalm 119:82
Point to Ponder:
As the day looms near when student loan payments begin, I know the truth of this statement all too well. I would like to exercise great faith, but the truth is that I don’t even have that of a mustard seed when it comes to financial issues. I immediately jump to the worst possible conclusion: We’ll lose our house. Where will we go? What will we do?
Looking online for a new or a second job yesterday was sobering. To leave the part-time work I do now and go full-time elsewhere would actually result in a loss of income. Unless I want to deliver pizzas (and I have too poor a sense of direction for that), there seems to be few options.
You who read this blog, pray for me today. Pray that God would strengthen my faith and that He would provide a solution. We’re too poor to make the payments and too wealthy to qualify for assistance. We were foolish in not thinking through the consequences of our actions, and now are burdened by them. I don’t know what to do.
Grace and peace to you,

I’m praying for you and your family, dear Marie. I, too, have a tendency to get discouraged and negative when it comes to the topic of finances. But we just have to keep reaching in there for that mustard seed- sized faith. Because that’s all we need. God will always provide for us. Just keep in mind His provisions might not look exactly like the ones we imagine for ourselves. Many blessings to you.
